Ipswich Borough Council

In April 2015 Ecosphere Renewables completed a contract to install 433 kWp of Solar PV across 12 sites for Ipswich Borough Council after a lengthy tendering process.   This included a number of sheltered schemes and Fore Street Pool.

Ecosphere Renewables was chosen as the delivery partner after demonstrating the best value in quality, design and project management.   An important requirement of the project was maximising the available rooftop and returns for the council which Ecosphere achieved by installing Sunpower E20 327 watt panels at the time the most efficient panels available providing 25% more power per meter squared.

• Structural Surveys including undertaking roof strengthening works
• Resident Liaison including presentations to care homes residents.
• The project was completed on time and to budget.

Dundee House: 49.7kWp on a flat roof

Fore Street Pool: 15.7kWp on a slate roof

Gwent House: 43.5kWp on two tiled roofs

Holywells Court: 27.8kWp on multiple tiled roofs

Mallard Court: 43.16kWp on two tiled roofs

Mayo Court: 34.34kWp on two tiled roofs

Morecambe Court: 35.32kWp on two tiled roofs

Stratford Court: 17.66kWp on two tiled roofs

Walton House: 49.7kWp on two slate roofs

William House: 49.7kWp on multiple tiled roofs

Wingate House: 27.47kWp on a flat roof
