Chris Bartholomew

Chris Bartholomew is the Director of our sister company CBE, and a Founding Partner of Ecosphere Renewables, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the renewable side of the company, he started his electrical apprenticeship in Brighton in 1967, qualifying in 1972.

Chris founded CBE in 1991 and has overseen its growth, turnover into a multi- million pound company. The company has completed many prestigious projects such as Hamilton Quay, a large development of flats and houses on the Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne, the West Quay development at Newhaven harbour, including the new fishermen’s building and the lifeboat station and the Dover Castle Visitor Centre, to name but a few.  A recent project managed by Chris over a four year period was Newhaven’s energy recovery facility.

The decision to move into renewables was an obvious choice and Ecosphere was founded in 2010.   CBE had the exact skills required and our clients were requesting more and more energy efficient solutions.. and we have not looked back!

CBE is the electrical contractor for Wealden District Council and South East Coast Ambulance, both of which are maintained on a 24/7 basis.

In his spare time, Chris acts as mechanic for his fifteen year old son Jack who competes in kart racing at national and international level.
